He is a member of NIOSH
Malaysia and has vast experience in maritime
safety, health and environment. He started his
career with MISC and was assigned as Marine
Engineer to bulk carriers, crude oil tankers,
chemical tanker and cargo ships, such as, M.V.
Bunga Kesidang (Panamax Bulk Carrier), M.T.
Bunga Keranji (Crude Oil Tanker), M.T. Bunga
Tanjung (Chemical Tanker), M.T. Bunga Kesumba
(Parcel Tanker), and M.T. Bunga Mawar (Chemical
Tanker) and sat in the Safety Committee. He was
in charge of repair, maintenance and operation
of the critical equipment and machinery in the
ships. He has worked in hotel industry, suh as,
Berjaya Redang Golf, Allson Klana Hotel, Nexus
Golf Resort, and Pelorus Services and been
involved in the maintenance of Resort facilities
and equipment including 100 ton/day Reverse
Osmosis Plants, and Biological Sewage Treatment.
He is currently back with MISC responsible for
OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 EMS certification,
Fire Fighting & Rescue Squad, ERP, HIRAC, EIA,
chemical and waste management, contractor safety
management, and compliance of legal
requirements. He has conducted safety and health
training courses: OHSAS 18001, ISO14001, OSHA
1994, EQA 1974, FMA 1967, NADOOPOD 2004, MSDs
and Ergonomics, Electrical Safety, Maintenance
Safety, Contractor Safety Management, Hearing
Conservation, Eye Safety, Heat Exposure Safety,
Hazardous Chemical Management, Scheduled Waste
Management, Industrial & Sewage Effluent, IMS,
and Internal Auditing OHSMS & EMS to companies,
namely, Malaysian Newsprint Industries, Pascorp
Papers Industries, and Bentong Community
College.
